Comments:  James Coffelt is one of PCC’s newest Cooperative Producers. He has a very nice herd of registered Angus cows in the hills of Eastern Ohio. His cows are extremely maternal — fertile, good udders, great dispositions, long-lasting. These 20 registered Angus heifer calves were all sired by PCC TQ Daktronic (Reg.# 15871094), a Dakota Homer son with a –2.5 birth weight EPD (top 1% of the entire Angus breed). Daktronic goes back to Fahren 21X and Moderator on the bottom side of his pedigree. James did not have to assist any of the 60 calves sired by this bull. The dams of these 20 heifers go back to Shoshone, Keeney and Octoraro breeding. You will seldom have the opportunity to purchase registered PCC heifer calves of this type and quality.

Comments:  We have been selling David Johnson’s fall-born Angus bulls for over two years. Like our other Missouri Cooperative Producers, David calves in the fall to take advantage of the fescue grass that makes up a big share of his forage resources. These heifers are one year old — and ready to breed. They were sired by Pledge (Reg.# 15084004) and West Plains (Reg.# 14885684). Pledge, a Homer son, is pictured on page 48. West Plains is a Great Plains son out of an Emblazon grand daughter. Brothers to these good PCC heifers are currently being developed on grass in Missouri to be sold in our 2010 Spring Bull Sale. If you have a fall-calving herd or if you would like to start a fall-calving herd, you need to take a good look at this group of heifers.

Comments:  Once in a lifetime opportunity! Three Magua daughters and two Pledge daughters — right out of the heart of PCC’s home herd. These heifers represent the best of the best! The three Magua daughters are H6-1 (Reg.# 16274390) — AI bred to Idaho, H6-2 (Reg.# 16263344) — AI bred to Beral of Wye (Reg.#15600072) and H6-3 (Reg.# 16263345) — AI bred to Moderator. Both of the Pledge daughters were AI bred to Idaho. They are H6-4 (Reg.# 16274396) and H6-5 (Reg.# 16274397). All five of these top-sort registered Angus heifers were turned out with PCC TQ Patton (Reg.# 15871093) after being AI bred. This is the first time we have ever given anyone outside of the PCC network the opportunity to purchase registered heifers from PCC’s home herd.
