     Magua (Mog-wa) continues to be one of our most popular herd sires. He is a real herd-changer! We call him our 3-dimensional bull. Magua will put tremendous thickness, muscling and fleshing ability in his calves. He combines this with extreme calving ease. His birth weight EPD is in the top 2% and his calving ease direct EPD is in the top 1% of the breed. Magua’s energy value ($EN) is in the top 5% of the breed. When DNA tested by Igenity, Magua received a score of 9 out of 10 for tenderness and 8 out of 10 for marbling. His sons and daughters have very good ultrasound data. Magua is a known carrier of the red gene. Co-owned with Tyson Pharo and Monte Howrey.

    This is the first Magua son we have added to our AI Sire Directory. He is homozygous black. In his first year of semen sales, he outsold his sire who was our previous high-selling Angus bull. Pokey’s dam is a 9-year-old cow out of our favorite Bear of Wye cow (Bench Mark’s and Alamo’s dam). Pokey should be able to reduce frame and add thickness as well as, or better than, any bull we have. We expect him to work extremely well in grass-finished beef programs.      Masterpiece is a sleep-all-night calving ease bull that is extremely thick and stout! His birth weight EPD is in the top one-half of 1% of the Angus breed. Masterpiece is an easy-fleshing bull that seems to knock the frame out of everything he is bred to. He would be an excellent choice for your first-calf heifers. You will want to keep every daughter he produces. Masterpiece’s $EN value of +27.9 is in the top 2% of the Angus breed. He is co-owned with Totton Angus Ranch and Angle M Cattle Company.

      Emancipate continues to be one of the most popular bulls here at Pharo Cattle Company. He is an extremely stout, smaller framed bull that can move almost any cowherd in the right direction. Many producers are using him on heifers with no problems. His birth weight EPD is in the top 15% of the Angus breed. Emancipate’s daughters are the keeping kind. His energy value ($EN) is in the top 2% of the Angus breed. Emancipate was 10 years old when he died. Co-owned with Matney Cattle Company.

       Pledge is a linebred Homer son that doesn’t seem to have any holes. He is a small frame bull with tremendous thickness and fleshing ability. His birth weight EPD is in the top 10% of the Angus breed. Pledge has a tremendous amount of longevity bred into his pedigree. He was the top-gaining bull within his contemporary group in our unique all-grass forage test — forage efficiency! Pledge received a score of 10 out of 10 when DNA tested by Igenity for tenderness. He is co-owned with Ozark Hills Angus and 4-P Farms.

       When we show people our herd sires, we often refer to this bull as our “Longevity” bull. His perfect-uddered dam produced until she was 18 years old. Priority is a linebred bull sired by Pied Piper (born in 1979). He has Rito 149 and Rito 707, along with similar Wye breeding, on both sides of his pedigree. Priority has GREAT ultrasound scores and measurements — and should work very well in grass-finished beef programs. His $EN value is in the top 2% of the Angus breed.

       Viking is new to our lineup. He ain’t no sissy bull! His pedigree is stacked for maternal greatness and longevity. Viking’s perfect-uddered dam was still producing at age 18 in a very tough all-grass environment. We plan to use this bull very heavily in PCC’s Colorado cowherd. Viking’s birth weight EPD is in the top 10% of the Angus breed. His energy value ($EN) EPD is in the top 4%. We have really liked all of the Viking calves that we have seen. Co-owned with Broken Arrow Angus in Nebraska.

       Rebel is a linebred Homer son out of a great Emblazon daughter. He was the lead-off bull in our 2006 Harrison, Nebraska Bull Sale. Based on his first calf crop, we expect his birth weight EPD to get better and better. It looks as though he will be a real curve bender. He is a 3-frame bull that sires small calves with tremendous early growth. Rebel should produce some of the breed’s best momma cows. He is co-owned with the Flying S Ranch and Monte Howrey.

         We are extremely excited about this young bull. There is a very good chance that he will live up to his name. He is the thickest Emblazon 27C son to come through our program. His ultrasound scores and measurements are among the best we have ever seen — especially for tenderness. Second-2-None has a tremendous amount of longevity bred into both sides of his pedigree. His maternal grand dam is still producing at age 16. His $EN value is in the top 10% of the Angus breed. Co-owned with Steve Reinart and Monte Howrey.

       This is the first Emancipate son we have put in our AI lineup — and it is about time, because there have been lots of good ones. Alamo is the result of flushing our favorite Bear of Wye daughter to Emancipate. His pedigree is stacked for maternal greatness. Alamo’s dam produced until she was 10 years old when she was found dead late in the summer (maybe lightning). His birth weight EPD is in the top 4% of the Angus breed. His $EN value is in the top 3% of the breed. Great ultrasound data. Co-owned with 4-P Farms.

       Machine is an extremely stout and powerful fullblood Lowline. We sold more semen out of Machine last year than any other bull in our entire AI lineup. Some refer to Lowline Angus as miniature Angus. I don’t like that term because it gives the wrong connotation. Lowline Angus are the real deal, and I believe they have a definite place in today’s beef industry. We have used Machine on our 6-frame cows to produce thick, easy-fleshing, 3-frame offspring — in one generation. That saves years of time! Machine is also being used to produce predictable, high-quality grass-finished beef. He is co-owned with Two Rivers Organic and Dakota Lowlines.

   We feel very fortunate to have acquired a semen interest in this fullblood Lowline Angus. Doc Holliday is an extremely masculine bull with tremendous thickness. Most of today’s most popular big-framed Angus bulls don’t have as much heart girth as this Lowline bull has. Lowline Angus are the result of 45 years of intense linebreeding within a herd of solid, old-fashioned Angus cattle in Australia. This has resulted in a very predictable and prepotent genetic base. Doc has a very impressive DNA Tru-Marbling score of +25.34 which is in the top 1% of all animals tested by MMI Genomics. Co-owned with Cross Creek Farms in Indiana and J & K Livestock in Kentucky.
