Buckaroo
was an extremely stout, polled, red brockle-face bull. His deep-flanked,
easy-fleshing mother was still producing at 11 years of age when the
drought forced us to destock. She was a classic! She consistently produced
big, stout calves while holding her condition and breeding back year
after year. We know for a fact that Buckaroo can produce some GREAT
replacement females for a low-input, grass-based ranching environment. |

At $4250,
Elijah was the high-selling forage-tested Composite bull in our 2001
Bull Sale. He is an extremely thick, easy-fleshing, heavy-muscled bull,
in a 3-frame package. Elijah has been used on well over 200 first-calf
heifers with very few problems. It is very rare to find a bull this
stout that has this much calving ease. He is still working at 9 years
of age. Co-owned with Matney Cattle Co. and Paul Landrigan. |

Huxtable is a 3/4 brother
to Elijah. Both were sired by Emancipate out of Polled Coteau daughters. Huxtable
was our lead-off forage-tested bull in 2002. He is a very heavy-muscled, easy-fleshing
bull that we are using in our own program on black Composite cows. Huxtable
does not have quite as much calving ease as Elijah. He is co-owned with Lance
Gartner and Matney Cattle Company. |
