We believe….producers have been very profitable the last two years as a result of chance – not choice. They cannot take credit for the high prices they received in 2014 and 2015.
HOWEVER… the time will come when the only profitable cow-calf producers will be those who chose to make the necessary changes in their program and cowherd to remain profitable with much lower cattle prices. There is reason to believe these individuals will be in the minority.
As ridiculous as it seems… most members of the status quo herd will not make any changes until they are forced to. It’s as though they would rather fail doing what they have always done than succeed if success requires change. That, my friend, gives YOU a competitive advantage and the opportunity to make your business very profitable and sustainable.
