I’m sure you have heard of eBay, a very popular website that allows you to buy and sell all sorts of things over the internet. With the help of DVAuction, we have created a similar site for livestock. This is an online, real-time, eBay-type auction.

      Pharo Cattle Company is only acting as a marketing agent to bring buyers and sellers together through this very unique internet auction. We are not responsible for handling the money that will be transferred from buyer to seller. Nor are we responsible for any promises and/or guarantees between the buyer and the seller.

       When animals are consigned to this auction, the seller will establish the “base price” where the auction will begin, as well as the “buy now price” that can purchase the livestock at anytime during the auction. The seller will also establish the “auction end date”, as well as “terms of payment and delivery”.

      Potential buyers must register to bid. They are encouraged to call the seller and to go see the livestock they are interested in. All bidding, though, must take place on the internet. Once a purchase has been made, it is up to the buyer and the seller to work out the details. Pharo Cattle Company is not responsible for overseeing terms of payment and/or delivery.

    Each lot has a posted auction end time. However, we will keep each auction open for thirty minutes after the last bid comes in. This will prevent someone from sneaking in at the last minute and stealing the bid away from the previous high bidder. This thirty minute time period will give the previous high bidder the opportunity to submit another bid. If he chooses to do so, the auction will remain open for another thirty minutes. Once thirty minutes has passed with no bidding activity, the auction will close and the cattle will be sold to the high bidder.
