The following quote has been attributed to Thomas Edison.   I think it speaks volumes about the status quo’s herd-mentality way of thinking – or lack thereof.

“Five percent of the people think; ten percent of the people think they think; and the other eighty-five percent would rather die than think.”

In my opinion… it’s not that 85% of the people would rather die than think; it’s that they are simply too lazy and/or too afraid to think for themselves.   It is easier to go along with the herd-mentality way of thinking.   You will find evidence of this everywhere you look.   We are all affected by peer pressure – some much more than others.

Our definition of a Herd Quitter is someone who has enough courage to break away from the status quo, herd-mentality way of thinking.   It is more about thinking for yourself than anything else.

Following the crowd and doing what everyone else is doing is seldom the best way to manage your business.   In fact, it’s probably the absolute worst way to manage your business.   If you’re doing what everyone else is doing, you will never be above average and you will never have a competitive advantage.   Survival is tough for those who do not have a competitive advantage.

Dare to be a Herd Quitter…   With YOU in mind, we had some unique Herd Quitter window / bumper stickers printed up.   These stickers are showing up all over the world.   If you are a Herd Quitter and if you would like to have a HQ sticker, send your request to Tammy@PharoCattle.com with “Herd Quitter” in the subject line.   We would be glad to mail a sticker to you FREE of charge.
