Slantwise Logic

If you are dousing your cattle with chemicals to control flies, all you are doing is decreasing your herd’s natural resistance.   This locks you into another chemical when resistance builds to the first chemical.   You are locked into the “Company Store” which will have a new product for you to purchase.   It too will eventually fail.

Who paid for all the development costs?   You did!   Every time you buy their product an amount is pulled for development.   You are making them a no-interest loan to develop the next product that they will be selling to you!   Great game, ain’t it?

If you are tired of being duped and used by the “Company Store,” I suggest you purchase your bulls from Pharo Cattle Company.   They are producing cattle with a bred-in genetic resistance to horn flies and other parasites.

  1. It is a vicious circle. Flies will eventually develop a resistance to all insecticides — old and new. Insecticides are only treating the symptoms of the problem. Genetic selection for fly resistance will solve the problem.
